About Urban League


The Mission


The National Urban League takes pride in helping African Americans and other underserved groups reach their highest potential pertaining to civil rights, power, education, and justice. Urban League promotes helping others education, community development, workforce development, and job seeking.



The History and Impact


Urban League was founded in 1910 by collaborators in New York and all over the United States. They have about 90 affiliates in 37 states serving over 200 communities. These affiliates direct social programs, research, and are big advocates for equality. Anually, Urban League helps serve over 2 million people with their programs and services.
